Lisianthus is proof that you really can have it all. Long vase life, stems covered in blooms, impressive height, and enough heat tolerance to survive those sun-soaked weddings we all worry about.

And because they’re grown close to home, we can harvest them with more flowers already open on each stem. No long journey in a cardboard box means you get the Lisianthus at her absolute best.

Why we love working with Lisianthus

Extremely long vase life

You’re looking at a 2+ weeks and about a month in the cooler. You can store in your cooler until mold gets on the pollen. Some of the new varieties are bred pollen-less (Solo Pure White for example) and can be stored for even longer.

Heat-tolerant

Heat-tolerant for all those bouquets, bouts, and direct-sun arches we know you’re constructing this summer. The arches will need a water source, but she ain’t gonna wilt in that sun, baby.

Many blooms per stem

Locally grown Lisianthus goes directly from the field to you. Because it doesn’t need to withstand days of shipping in a box, we can harvest each stem at a later stage, when more of the flowers have already opened. The result is a fuller stem with more blooms to enjoy from day one.

Legs for days

Some of our Lisianthus varieties are topping in at 3.5 feet right now. When you are shopping our availability on Rooted, you can see the heights in the descriptions. (Pay attention to these because different farms are offering different stem lengths).
